Ross Clubs DEI Cultural Summit

Ross Retail Club had the opportunity to participate in the BBA Ross DEI Cultural Summit on January 30th, 2024. The event serves as a platform for sharing progress updates and Michigan’s commitment to strengthening DEI on campus, primarily through community involvement and club organizations. RRC Executive Board had the unique chance to speak to Ross Students about our DEI initiatives, sustainability within the retail world, and upcoming events for RRC.

From our Co-VP of DEI, Venetia Beauchamp: “I got to attend and represent RRC at the 2nd Annual Ross Cultural Celebration during Diversity Week! It was an evening with diverse foods, dance celebrations, interactive activities, and a fuse of multiple cultures! Various clubs had tables showcasing their DEI initiatives. Our table featured a background on Ross Retail, a description of why DEI is vital to our community, and two fun games/activities! We had an interactive map where participants could mark either their favorite brand or where in the world their fashion identity came from. Also, we had a retail DEI jeopardy game, with winners getting insomnia cookies! Overall, it was an amazing night with a joyous atmosphere filled with multiple cultural experiences, and we hope to participate again in the future!”
