“I decided to join RRC because I was interested in learning about the intersection of fashion and business. My favorite event was the Calvin Klein networking call, which was unforgettable and an invaluable opportunity to learn how to immerse myself in the fashion industry and hear from Michigan alumni thriving within it. I hope to have more opportunities to learn from professionals in the industry and discover vocational opportunities. It would be amazing to do an RRC sustainable fashion project/thrift store!”

“Hi everyone! My name is Natalia Pinto, and I am a sophomore in Ross Retail Club on the Philanthropy subcommittee. As a Psychology major, I joined RRC as I am very interested in the intersection of business, marketing, retail, and how people interact in those departments. My most rewarding RRC memory was participating in the Ann Arbor Spring Trek, where we visited local businesses and spoke to workers there about their work in marketing to the Ann Arbor community and the history of their businesses. Visiting the Ann Arbor Shinola store was a super cool experience and I will definitely be going back again to grab a coffee and study in their cafe tucked away in the aesthetic basement (such a hidden gem)! I hope to continue learning more about the retail industry through alumni speaker events, applying for the New York Trek, and getting to know more of the amazing members of the club.”

“Hi, everyone. My name is Elaine Donahue, and I am a current sophomore in Ross Retail and a part of the content team. A fun fact about me is that I love to run and do triathlons in the summer! (It is a love-hate relationship). My most rewarding RRC memory was the NYC trek we went on the previous semester. It was such a cool experience, and I could see things I had never imagined I would! I hope to continue learning more about the retail and luxury space and meeting industry professionals.”

“I stumbled across RCC’s booth at the Ross Club Fair during the fall semester of my Freshman year and immediately signed up. Everyone at the booth seemed genuine and passionate about the retail industry, welcoming new members with so much love and grace. I continue to stay in RRC for the friendships and experiences the club offers to all its members. My most rewarding experience in RRC was attending the NYC trek this past fall. Being from a small town in Upper Michigan, I never imagined being able to go to NYC and visit companies like Condé Nast and LVMH. Not only was I able to meet with amazing companies and talent acquisition specialists, but I also met more RRC members and formed genuine connections with them. It was truly an unforgettable experience! I hope to continue getting to know more RRC members and expanding my knowledge of the fashion/retail business industry. All of the networking, speaker series, and bonding events have been beneficial and enjoyable during my time at Umich so far. I am so thankful for RRC and everything that the club has done for me 🤍🤍”
